Why did I choose this career?

When I was a girl, my dream was to be a doctor, not thinking about trying to cure people's illness, but I loved the idea of being able to blow her heels through the hospital corridors, it's ridiculous, I know, but I loved that Image in my head. As I grew older, my ideas began to change because of the TV shows I saw with my grandmother. CSI: Miami, CSI: New York and CSI: Las Vegas, really influenced my thoughts ... I wanted to be a detective, to investigate cases and to be just as incredible as the people of those programs. I was very attached to that dream until my brother was born, this caused to grow in me an immense love for babies and children, so I decided to want to study Obstetrics, but really Biology and I, we did not take very well (although it is what I would really like to dedicate myself to).

Well, when I was about to leave school, I discovered that I liked chemistry very much, so I decided to study Chemistry and Pharmacy, not because I really liked it, but because I had to study something. It was my first choice when applying, I did not want anything else, but I knew that my score would not be enough to enter this career. Talking with a teacher I discovered that there was a degree in Food Engineering and that it would help me to change to what I wanted because I was in the same University that I wanted and also reached the score, so it was my second choice. This way I ended up here.

The University was a door to a whole new world for me, it helped me to leave my dependence on others and start doing things on my own and being responsible for the things I did. It was good to be able to put aside my shyness, shame and form an Aracely with a lot of personality.

I would love to say that in the future I will focus on seeing the mothers with their future children, but given the circumstances, I would like to work on the inspection of food safety and ensure that the population consume good and disease-free products.
